Boxing Day: Great People, Terrible Gifts

As usual, we celebrated Boxing Day with a big "white elephant" gift exchange with our friends. For those of you who are not British or related to a Brit, Boxing Day is their favorite holiday and they won't shut up about it. It has something to do with all of the nobles giving the gifts they didn't like to their servants the day after Christmas, but I'm sure there's more to the story. Anyway, following tradition, this year's Boxing Day highlighted all of the terrible things that you can buy in America (and Thailand, thanks to Tim and Jess). The best gift of the evening was definitely the pencil holder that doubled as a statue of a man with a giant erection. Sorry, I don't have a picture of that one! I do, however, have a lovely picture of our friend Jenn's parents wearing their gifts. Priceless.
