We celebrated Father’s Day this weekend with Harper’s very first ride on “Grandpa Wiggle’s” (Portman’s Dad’s) boat. We headed out to Annapolis first thing Saturday morning to feed the ducks and enjoy a little pre-boating breakfast at the marina. Harper spent most of breakfast attempting to jump into the Chesapeake!

After breakfast and a stop to purchase an infant-sized life vest, we met everyone at the boat and headed out for the day. Harper spent the first hour of the ride clutching onto me for dear life. When Portman jumped in to water ski, she was absolutely terrified and started screaming! She finally realized that he would be getting back on the boat and was not lost forever at sea, and after a snack she really seemed to enjoy it. She just sat at the front and watched everyone ski, yelling “byeee!” every time they jumped in! She even went for a little swim with her daddy (and her pretzel).
