Tonight after dinner Harper went on a little bike ride and Roman ate some dirt. Harper is getting better and better at riding her bike. She has finally figured out the whole steering thing and no longer runs into the sides of our neighbors’ cars. She can usually get started without a push, but this morning insisted that our 85 year-old neighbor, “Mr. George,” push her. I don’t think he has much else to do because he was more than happy to push her around the pavement in the blazing August sun!

Roman is all boy: he likes running, eating dirt, picking up sticks and throwing things. Tonight I caught him eating chunks of dirt from the flower beds, which ultimately ended up as drool-mud all over his shirt. Both of the kids love being outside and I am already dreading winter when we are stuck inside! A few pictures that I took on my phone:
